ORDINANCE NO. 341

ANNUAL APPROPRIATION ORDINANCE

FOR FISCAL YEAR 2014-2015

AN ORDINANCE ENTITLED THE ANNUAL APPROPRIATION ORDINANCE FOR THE FISCAL YEAR BEGINNING OCTOBER 1, 2014, APPROPRIATING THE SUM OF $2,747,209.00 TO DEFRAY THE EXPENSES AND LIABILITIES OF THE CITY OF IDAHO CITY FOR SAID FISCAL YEAR, AUTHORIZING A LEVY OF A SUFFICIENT TAX UPON THE TAXABLE PROPERTY AND SPECIFYING THE OBJECTS AND PURPOSES FOR WHICH SAID APPROPRIATION IS MADE.

BE IT ORDAINED by the Mayor and City Council of the City of Idaho City, Boise County, Idaho.

SECTION 1. That the sum of $2,747,209.00 be, and the same is appropriated to defray the necessary expenses and liabilities of the City of Idaho City, Boise County, Idaho for the fiscal year beginning October 1, 2014.

SECTION 2. The objects and purposes for which such appropriation is made, and the amount of each object and purpose is as follows:

TOTAL EXPENDITURES $ 2,747,209.00

SECTION 3. That a general tax levy on all taxable property within the City of Idaho City be levied in an amount allowed by law for the general purposes for said City, for the fiscal year beginning October 1, 2014.

SECTION 4. All ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict with this ordinance are hereby repealed.

SECTION 5. This ordinance shall take effect and be in full force upon its passage, approval and publication in one issue of The Idaho World, a newspaper of general circulation in the City of Idaho City, and the official newspaper of said City.

ORDINANCE NO. 345

AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF IDAHO CITY, BOISE COUNTY, IDAHO, AMENDING TITLE 9 TO ADD A NEW PROVISION THAT ADOPTS A SCHEDULE OF WATER AND SEWER EQUIVALENT CONNECTIONS FOR HISTORIC PROPERTIES; SETTING FORTH THE DEFINITION OF SUCH PROPERTIES; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.

WHEREAS, The City Council finds, in order to promote the welfare of the citizens of Idaho City, that a new water and sewer rate class should be adopted for Historic Properties; and

WHEREAS, Idaho Code 67-4612 grants to municipalities the authority to provide for the protection, enhancement and preservation of historic properties by Ordinance;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF IDAHO CITY, IDAHO:

SECTION 1. That Idaho City Code 9-1-3 be amended to include the following definition:

HISTORIC PROPERTY: Any building, structure, area or site that has been identified and recognized by Resolution of the Idaho City Council as qualifying for a reduced water and sewer rate due to the significance of such property in the history, archeology, or culture of Idaho City, the State of Idaho, or the United States of America.

SECTION 2. That Idaho City Code 9-1-19(B)(3) be amended to include the following provision:

SECTION 3. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect upon passage, approval and publication according to law.
